Opportunities that each country in Latin America offer

Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru signed the Pacific Alliance Agreement (PA) creating a region that represents total a population of 214 million people with an average GDP per capita of 16’500 dollars.

Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) looking to penetrate foreign markets face a big challenge when it comes to understand the benefits of implementing a bilateral Agreement (BA) or Free Trade Agreement (FTA). www.las-empanadas.de
Even more interesting is to identify how regional agreements, in which Switzerland is not a direct member, can also provide Swiss companies advantages while trading with the involved countries.

Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru signed the Pacific Alliance Agreement (PA) creating a region that represents total a population of 214 million people with an average GDP per capita of 16’500 dollars. (purchasing power parity). All four nations are market-friendly; their economies represent 35 percent of Latin American Gross Domestic Product (GDP), manage 55 percent of the region’s exports, and have stable governments. Euromonitor International highlighted the PA members among the top 20 non-BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, and China) emerging consumer markets.

What is the latest status of the Pacific Alliance? What are the opportunities that each country can offer? What is the position of the Swiss government in this Free Trade Agreement? Which benefits the PA could represent for your company during your internationalization process? Which experiences and challenges have multinational companies perceived?

Our goal is to provide you some new insights that can reinforce your interest in this growing region and that can be implemented in your internationalization strategy.
